I grew up in a family full of curly-haired girls (apparently the curly-hair gene is strong, just not strong enough to get through my thick skull as I am literally the only straight-haired girl in the bunch...go figure). After seeing Emily's hair come in curly around 18 months, I promised myself that I would never touch her hair. After all, if there's one thing I learned while growing up, it's that it's not hard to screw up a haircut when there's curls involved.
Today though, I did the one thing I swore up and down that I would never do. I gave Emily a haircut. Insert *gasp here.
So what possessed me? I have no idea. Will I do it again?
Ah...the jury's still out on that one....
