California

This past week I spent several days in Long Beach, California participating in 3 long days worth of job training at my company's corporate home office. Although the first day-and-a-half was extremely overwhelming with information, I was able to learn tons and I got a chance to network with the other Project Administrators throughout our company.

Overall the experience was great and I learned several things:

  • I LOVE the palm trees out here. They are absolutely beautiful.

  • Having a patio right outside your hotel room is actually quite nice. I loved getting a chance to spend evenings sitting outside watching traffic and feeling the breeze.

  • It is possible to pack Pringles with you in your checked baggage and not lose a single one.

Exhibit A

  • Small airports are kind of fun. When our flight was boarding they announced to us to head for the plane with red on the tail.

  • When on the plane I loved looking out the window at the world below. The terrain was full of so many designs. I really found fascinating the farms that were in the shape of a circle. Some even had what looked like a wedge removed. They looked like little pies. Kind of makes you want some cake.

  • The statement, "Everyone in Arizona has a swimming pool" really is true. Every house I saw while flying into Phoenix had a swimming pool. Crazy!

Just in case you want to choose...

The view from the table at dinner on my last night. Simply beautiful.

Just in case you non-believers questioned whether or not I was here.

This was a flower I found on a bush outside my hotel. So unique.
