Bubbles and Water

I was going through pictures tonight when I stumbled upon some that I forgot to post. Back on the 4th Emily, my Mom (Grandma), and I went to the local science and history museum so we could spend the afternoon playing in the children's area.

Emily's greatest fascination the entire time that we were at the museum were the bubble tubes. Almost made me want to install some in my own home. Emphasis on the "almost"...

The weather outside was about 55 degrees with wind gusts up to 28 mph from the north and of course my daughter REALLY wanted to play outside in the water area. I knew how that experience was going to end (her being soaking wet) so I took off her jacket and allowed her to go crazy.

Just like I thought, Emily had a blast splashing in the VERY cold water. Crazy!

Other moms might have been looking at me like I was the worst parent ever, but Emily loved it. She even started crying and throwing a tantrum because I wouldn't let her jump into one of the fountains. She was having so much fun that the crying continued when I took her back inside. Apparently she had no problem watching herself shiver...but I did.
