There are many reasons why I love this scene, but mostly because it shows Emily's personality perfectly - a girly girl with a little bit of tom boy spunk. I love that she adores wearing dresses, she always picks out the clothes with lots of bling, she loves purple and pink, and she's often guilty of sneaking out of bed to quietly play with her dress up clothes. On the flip side, I also love that she will choose a car over a baby doll, she loves getting the chance to pick up a hammer, she's not afraid to get her hands dirty, she lives for jumping off high surfaces, and she has more sense of adventure and risk than I do.
I actually couldn't have dreamed her up more perfectly.
