Emily's love affair with airplanes started back in the fall, and when Christmas came around, Emily's stocking wasn't filled with baby dolls or Barbies. Nope, it was filled with a motorcycle and an airplane. Needless to say, the idea of getting on an airplane was quite exciting for a certain 3 year old.
Trip day came and the excitement started to bubble over as we arrived to the airport. There were airplanes all over and she couldn't help but beam. Although I spent a late evening at WalMart the night before, stocking up on fun trip games and busy body activities, Emily proved me wrong for worrying. For her the ride was everything!
Now you can't even talk about Grannie Annie and Pawpa without an excited voice perking up saying "Pawpa. Airplane. Ok, Let's Go!" In fact, as I write this she is giving me her suggestions for this weekend, "Get on a train...go on an airplane." I might just have to blow her mind one day with a train ride to Grannie Annie and Pawpa's. Oh yes, after that I'm sure car rides down to San Antonio will never be the same again!
